Photographically: I see what you are trying to do here with your settings and positioning. I can just imagine what patience and/or luck it requires to get a small bird like this to "pose". This is a really great capture, but I'm getting slightly distracted by the blurred foreground here, there isn't anything you really can do about at this point, but in the future (depending on how you work) consider the framing by doing a very quick "borderpatrol" in your frame and have a look at if it's ok and that you leave yourself workingspace in the post-processing.
Post-processing:
I agree with the way you've done it here, I would however drag a gradient-tool from the bottom and a little bit up, just to lower the exposure at the bottom om the frame, as it's somewhat bright and a little distracting as mentioned above.
All in all I think you've done a really good job and I think you've done a good job keeping it look natural
